R S type thermocouple for high temperature furnace

Platinum rhodium 10-platinum thermocouple (S-type thermocouple) is a precious metal thermocouple. The diameter of the twin wire is specified as 0.5mm, and the allowable deviation is -0.015mm. The nominal chemical composition of the positive electrode (SP) is platinum-iridium alloy, in which the niobium content is 10%, the platinum content is 90%, and the negative electrode (SN) is pure platinum. Commonly referred to as a platinum crucible thermocouple. The long-term maximum operating temperature of this thermocouple is 1300°C, and the short-term maximum operating temperature is 1600°C. S-type thermocouples have the advantages of highest accuracy, best stability, wide temperature measurement temperature range, long service life, etc. in thermocouple series. It has good physical and chemical properties, thermodynamic stability and good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. It is suitable for oxidizing and inert atmospheres. Due to the excellent overall performance of the S-type thermocouple, S-type thermocouples conforming to the international use of temperature scales have long been used as the interpolating instruments for the international temperature standard. Although "ITS-90" is no longer stipulated as an internal temperature-checking instrument in the future, However, the International Temperature Consultative Council (CCT) believes that Type S thermocouples can still be used to approximate the international temperature scale.
