  • Fused silica crucible, full name high purity fused silica crucible (silica content 99.9%), is made from high purity fused silica ceramic crucible. In general, its rectangular and cylindrical, and the rectangular high purity silica crucible used in the polycrystalline silicon ingot casting process, acts as the polysilicon material and crystal container; and cylindrical high purity quartz crucible is used in single crystal silicon monocrystal pulling process.

    As the high purity fused silica has a fine structure, low thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, high dimension accuracy of manufactured goods, no deformation under high temperature, good thermal shock resistance, good electrical properties, good chemical resistant characteristics, it’s widely used in glass further processing industry, metallurgical industry, electronic industry, chemical industry, aviation aerospace ect.

    Fused silica crucible is the key components of polysilicon ingot furnace for solar battery, it is used as a container l of polycrystalline materials which will continue work 50 hours under a high temperature above 1500 , to make it melt to produce polycrystalline silicon ingot which used to make solar cells. Due to the extremely harsh work condition, the crucible is strictly required about the purity, strength, appearance defects, internal quality, high temperature performance, Thermal shock stability, dimensional accuracy and so on.
