STA offers an extensive range of top loading furnace. The STA top-loading furnace is used in many technical areas, especially in the automotive and aviation industry, but also for glass and ceramics. We distinguish between a top loading chamber furnace for baking ceramics and heat treatment of glass and a top-loading furnace for heat treatment of metals. The treatment in a top-loading furnace serves first of all to improve the mechanical properties of the charge.
These top loading chamber furnaces are particularly suited for applications involving tall crucibles and heavy components.
Heating elements of top loading furnace is in all four walls minimise the risk of damage from spills and ensures good temperature uniformity. The smaller two furnaces may be bench mounted, but best access is provided when these furnaces are located on the floor.
Standard features
l 1200°C maximum operating temperature
l From 3 to 100 litre chamber volume
l Free radiating wire elements in all 4 sides of chamber
l Vented top opening door
l Angled control panel, protected but clearly visible
l STA tmperature controller, with single ramp to set-point & process timer
l Thermocouple protected by ceramic sheath
l Over-temperature protection
l These can be fitted with RS232, RS485 (option)
STA’s line of small type top loading high temperature furnaces is also a good ideal for laboratory environments or for performing large batch runs.
Different hot zone materials are available; allowing a maximum operating temperature of up to 1200°C. Our top loading furnace have a cylindrical chamber and heating area which have several advantages over bottom or front loading configurations. The chamber design with top cover allows the heat shielding and element to be made of fewer parts, resulting in a lower cost and a more uniform heating area. The packaging creates a cleaner appearance with an available work surface.
